Q1:
"Ready to start my tweeterview with @mstestosterhome ... Rachel? Welcome!"
Q2:
"Yea, there you are! :-)"

Okay! Now we're cooking.

Q3:
"Thanks so much for agreeing to try this out with me. I think it will be a fun new way to get to know fellow tw.."

Thanks for having me! This should be interesting to try out.

Q4:
"Okay, well first of all, why don't you tell us all a little bit about your family. You have HOW MANY BOYS??"

I am the wild and crazy mother to FIVE wild and crazy boys.

Q5:
"And one sex-yet-to-be-determined baby, correct?"

That's right! I am 16 weeks pregnant with baby no. 6. We are having our sonogram in a few weeks. I can't decide if we shou..

..ld find out the gender.

More on Q5...
Wow, that is awesome. Are you tempted to find out the baby's sex bc you have so many boys - or does it not mat..

..ter so much anymore?

I don't think it really matters. I totally feel like it's a win/win situation. We have never found out in advance so we pr..

..obably won't this time.

Q6:
"Cool. Now why don't we talk about twitter a bit. have long have you been tweeting?"

For a few years now. A while ago I started an account and would follow people without tweeting. Now I love it! Tweet all t..

..he time.

Q7:
"Tell me what you love about it most."

I think it is fascinating to try and tell something "interesting" in short little bits. You can get and give lots of info ..

..with few words.

More on Q7...
Do you find twitter helps you out as a writer?

Yes. It forces me to figure out the bottom line with what I want to say. What is the point, twitter forces me to ask.

More on Q7...
A good question for all us to ask ourselves more often ...

Too true! The downside is I'm spoiled by the brevity!

More on Q7...
How about in your mothering? Do you find twitter is an outlet for you there?
More on Q7...
I especially love to read your tweets about the crazy things your boys do. Makes me feel more ... normal.

It definitely suits my lifestyle -- not tons of time for reading throughout the day. I can get the info I need through new..

..sfeeds and find out what is worth reading more in depth.

Hey thanks! Likewise -- I like reading about the ins and outs of people's day -- stuff they wouldn't devote a whole blog p..

..ost to.

More on Q7...
Yes, it's all about the details, isn't it? They make us crazy and they can be our saving grace, right?

It's true. I think twitter forces me to find the humor in this little moments, or the grace (or both!)

More on Q7...
That's what I love about your writing -- it makes me see those little silly things.

Thanks! That is something about my family. Growing up, it was lots of laughter and that's how I find my sanity in motherho..

..od too.

Q8:
"Speaking of your writing ... you have a book coming out this spring. Please share the details!"

Yes! A book, coming April 1 to a store near you! Called "How Do You Tuck In A Superhero."

More on Q8...
Ahem ... http://tinyurl.com/yfg4pcb

It's a book the celebrates the joy and sweetness and crazy of life with boys.

More on Q8...
What was the inspiration for the book. All boys all the time, your blogging, or both?

I'd say both. The all boys aspect of my life prompted the blog. Before the blog I was just writing all this in journals an..

..d baby books.

I started the blog to force myself to seek the humor and joy in those really tough days of motherhood.

More on Q8...
I've seen a review copy of the book -- and I must say it does do exactly that!

Thanks! I just reread it myself for edits and I was pleased with how it all came together!

More on Q8...
Now as a blogger and an author and a columnist -- please tell me (in a tweet): How do you balance writing with..
More on Q8...
.. family life?

I throw food at the boys and lock them outside.

Ahem. NOT REALLY.

More on Q8...
Nice!

It's all about this healthy, healthy balance I have in my life. That an lots of juggling.

This is what I always tell people who ask me about the writing -- you find time to do what you love.

More on Q8...
I get it. Do you have help at home? What are some of your "coping secrets" when you have short deadline?

My husband first off is awesome. He treats all my writing as "a job." so when I have to meet deadlines in the evenings, he..

.. tackles bedtime, etc. Also in the busy weeks with lots of deadlines, I hire a college girl to come clean my house.

More on Q8...
Love the college girl idea. Sometimes just making small concessions makes a big difference, doesn't it?

It does! And I do like to clean (I'd hire a cook, but the cleaning is cheaper). But that is the concession, you're right. ..

..And it's worth it to have that peace and order in my home, when I can't do it all myself.

Q9:
"You blogged recently about the "overwhelm" of too much information online. Since work requires you to be onlin.."
Q10:
"..e, how do you keep that in check?"

I do quick scans of what info I'd like to read more about. Also, I watch closely to see which websites build me up/encoura..

..ge me vs. bring me down. If I find something leaves me feeling drained, for whatever reason, I don't go back. Also, I us..

All good ideas. A big part of it is just filtering the info - you won't DIE if you mark everything as read, ev..
More on Q10...
..en if it isn't ;-)

So true! And usually I can tell within the first few lines if this is something I want to read more of! And yes, sometimes..

.. I will miss stuff that perhaps I would have enjoyed. Oh well! When I find myself looking at pictures of other people's ..

..kids online while ignoring my own, time to BACK AWAY.

More on Q10...
That's a great point. Your own family should always come first.

Indeed!

Q11:
"On one final topic, can you tell us a bit about the role that your faith plays in your writing & work?"

I think I work to strike a balance with my faith being a very fluid part of my life, but maybe letting that shine through ..

..without necessarily always talking about it -- it's what motivates everything I do, but is not a separate part that I ta..

..ke in or leave out. Having said that, I once read my blog described as "fun but with some religion if you can handle tha..

..t." It always come through, which is good.

More on Q11...
i think that's a very effective way of sharing your faith in an authentic way. It just IS part of who you are ..
More on Q11...
..and it's real. Ppl can see that.

Thanks! And I try to surround myself with writers that have that same vibe ;)

Q12:
"Well, before we end here I want to be sure to include your book link one last time ... http://tinyurl.com/yfg4.."
