Thanks for giving me the opportunity. Just be sure to credit @solidcactus :)
| Q2: | "Help me understand first what an SEO Copywriter is." |
An SEO copywriter crafts SEO-friendly content for websites. We use SEO best practices along with creative writing skills.
We research and use keywords in our text while providing value to a website visitor and/or searcher.
| Q3: | "Obviously, you work for @solidcactus- you have a background in communications, but how did you get into SEO Copywriting?" |
I started as an intern at SC in the SEO department and found I had a knack for it. Also, I love to write.
| Q4: | "What differentiates just a copywriter from one such as yourself that writes specifically for SEO friendly content?" |
Both types of copywriters provide info, value, and tell a story. SEO copywriters utilize keywords to also appeal to search engines.

Keywords are important. What do you use to expedite the process for you?
|
I use the Google Adworks Keyword research tool. But all content I craft from scratch. :)
| Q5: | "Without too much specificity (or breaking confidentiality), what kind of copy are you most writing about?" |

Where do you see yourself in the future with your experience?
|
Haha, well, I'm not quite sure :) I'm still figuring out what direction I want to go in, but I want to keep writing.
As for the blog post, yes. I believe that before one jumps into social media, they have to do some planning and research.
| Q8: | "How long have you been blogging?" |
I started blogging on my personal blog in January 2009. New Years Resolution :)
I did a bit of blogging for my school's alumni association before that, as well as some blogging for clients.
| Q9: | "It seems like you intermingle work and personal subjects quite a bit." |

Do you view it as PR for your work?
|
On my personal blog, I like to show more than just what I know. I also like for readers to get a sense of who I am.
That's why I blend my portfolio work, some personal things, and what I know.
| Q10: | "If you had to give advice to someone interested in learning SEO copywriting, what would you suggest?" |
Do your research, always proofread, and don't sacrifice quality. It can be easy to get lost in the keywords.
Make sure that the content is always user-friendly and creative. Always make keywords occur naturally.
And don't be afraid to ask questions. When I was learning, I read books, blogs, and attended webinars. Always try to improve.
| Q11: | "That's exactly what we are going for here! Thanks again for taking the time to talk about what you do! " |
My pleasure! Thank you so much for asking :)
| Q12: | "Please look for more of Mandy's SEO advice on her blog: http://mandyboyle.com/ Thanks again Mandy for doing this," |

Hopefully, the "interview via Twitter" isn't too painful. Communication via 140 characters!
|
Actually, I find that Twitter makes me trim my writing. It's a welcome challenge!
