Yes. I've worked for #MSFT for 9 years now and used to do what @coatsy does now. I got to plan the content with a team for the entire event.
Whoops...misread that. @jeffa36 does Technet. I did that and TechEd content planning....:)

Go to sessions early for #auteched. They can fill up quick esp in sml rooms. Usually they plan well for popular stuff with big rooms...

You guys are SOOO lucky to be getting netbooks! People from the US are complaining why they didnt get netbooks at US TechEd :) Ha! I want 1!

Good qtn! Hmm...stuff goes wrong. Sometimes we misread how popular something is and dont have a big enough room. Forgive us if it happens...
That said - when you plan agendas have at least one or 2 others you might like to go to in case the room fills up

hehe. We've never had enough internet bandwidth out of these places & they flood easily. LM is a hosted service which suffers cause of this

True - and when I ran it we never had great solutions to them either. Was always a frustration point.

I like some of the new stuff in WS08R2 around RDS and VDI. Very cool.

I like DirectAccess - though it has IPv6 dependencies. Learn some of that too. DA provides a very easy user experience.
Win7 client will be one to watch. Lots of companies are moving straight to it from XP. Look at App compat solutions like App-V and Med-V

Agree - Win7 is proving to be the compelling upgrade path from WinXP SP3. The taste for all attendees on the Netbooks won't hurt!

Oh back to qtn 8....Med-V is like XP (new virtual PC based) compat mode but with management of the VHD images. Really cool!!

The thing with W7 that ppl are missing is its just like Vista with app compat. Customers that did work already for vista will find it easier

I just love the buzz of a TechEd. Ive always loved presenting at them. Seeing ppl satisfied that they got answers makes it all worthwhile.
